Beechwalk Park Green Gym

The main aim of this project is to provide a Green Gym in Beechwalk Park, Crail that will complement existing play facilities in the park. This currently comprises Tennis Courts and MUGA pitch as well as a Football Pitch in Beechwalk Park. This Gym will focus on our teenage and adult communities for whom facilities in terms of cardio vascular activity are limited. A Green Gym provides moderate physical activity: It is asserted that working out in green spaces is a great way to relieve stress and can help to combat depression.

This project is supported by Fife Council through Alan Bisset who has been instrumental in providing the proposed design and pricing. Fife Council will be responsible for delivering the project and will sustain the equipment following construction. The main role of Crail Community Trust is to enhance community support, source funding, support development and drive the project forward.
