Bees Butterflies and Bikes

The aim of Bees Butterflies and Bikes is to use the success and high profile of the Guild Wheel to raise the profile of the plight of UK Bee species and to create pollinator friendly habitats focused on the Fulwood section of the Wheel. Six new wildflower meadows will be created: Three from seed and a further three by altering the current mowing regime and adding perennial plug plants. Stands and single specimens of native shrubs and trees that have high pollinator value will be planted and an area of woodland will be improved by the addition of pollinator friendly ground flora.
