Bellerophon Wood - a New Native Wood for Essex

To increase the biodiversity of a 30 acres site formerly under arable production, through the creation of native woodland, open grassy areas and a new pond for the benefit of wildlife. The project site is adjacent to a plantation on an ancient woodland and therefore will also help to buffer and extend this rare and irreplaceable habitat which suffers from fragmentation and negative effects from neighbouring farmland
