Bellingham Play Park, Lewisham- New play equipment (008293)

This project aims to transform Bellingham Playpark—recently voted London’s most unloved playground by London Play, into a vibrant, inclusive space that meets the needs of the whole community. By offering a mix of engaging, imaginative, and accessible play opportunities, it will attract regular use from local schools, families, and community groups—especially those from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds who often face barriers to safe, stimulating play. Through careful planning and meaningful community engagement, the playpark will be designed as a welcoming place where all children feel valued, included, and free to play confidently. The project will promote wellbeing, social inclusion, and community pride, breathing new life into the area. It will create a lasting legacy: a joyful, inclusive hub that reflects the voices of local people and supports healthier, happier childhoods for generations to come.
