Belmont Community Association – refurbishment of hall

Belmont Community Centre, is the main community hub in Belmont (community on the edge of Durham City). As a response to CV19 and seeking to make their building CV19 secure and able to serve community they received funding to install bi-partition doors in the main hall of the building (The Caldecote Hall). This created flexibility of space, allowing two rooms to be hired simultaneously. As a consequence of this project, the smaller area now needs to be equipped with furniture appropriate to the space, some electrical work is required and the room redecorated – it is these three activities that are the elements of this project to enable the room to fully function as a community space.
