Projects / Belmont Parish Hall Association

Belmont Parish Hall Association

The Group has been set up to create a new community facility for the people of Belmont and Carrville to replace the two facilities that were lost to the community 13 and 20 years previously. The project’s main aims are to a) bring together various local and voluntary organisations in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, with the object of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the parish and neighbouring former mining villages and b) establish, maintain and manage a Parish Hall.
The construction of the building is scheduled for completion end September early October 2005. The internal furniture and fittings (for which the grant funding has been requested) shall be installed in October / November 2005. It is anticipated that the building shall be open to the community by the end of 2005 or early 2006 at the latest.
