Bentley Community Shop

Creation of a public amenity, community hub/asset with a warm family friendly atmosphere providing essential supplies to all in our village as well as services to help encourage social engagement for the elderly and disadvantaged so reducing rural isolation.
Provide a meeting place for coffee/tea for those who have walked some way to the shop. We will be adjacent to a new Children’s play area which will enable mothers to visit the shop and use the play area.
Promotion of social inclusion and engagement by the many volunteering opportunities providing physical and mental health benefits by making sure people can remain active after retirement. Youngsters will have the opportunity to learn about value for money, older ones the chance to volunteer in a retail environment. We want all ages and abilities to benefit from this Community Shop project.
RADAR Key disabled toilet with baby changing facilities provided with access from the disabled car parking places outside the shop door.
