Big Wood Access Project

The project is a circular walk around an urban river valley woodland in Chorley called Big Wood, providing links around and accross the woodland. The site is included in the Yarrow Valley Country Park and the planned footpath improvements will provide links into the park from neighbouring residential areas. The planned route provides low mobility access linking two estates across the woodland. The circulaar route will be easy access with few steps and some low gradients. Access points will be controlled with fencing and disable access kissing gates to prevent misuse of the site by motorcycles.
