Bilbrook Village Hall, Bilbrook - Play Area Refurbishment (40051/D)

The aim of the project is to transform this vital community asset into an inspiring, exciting and safe play area for all to enjoy, creating a whole community space where everyone, especially young families, can explore, learn, have fun, socialise and enjoy being together outdoors. The play area has a special place in the community. It is a valuable but underused, recreation space in an idyllic setting next to playing fields. Most of the play equipment is old and tired, there are no inclusive play elements for disabled children and the site offers few challenges or scope for imaginative play. There is no other provision locally for children under 12 and as a result families who can, travel by car to better resourced play areas in neighbouring towns. The Trust grant will contribute towards the play area refurbishment.
