Billesley Common, nr Birmingham – Perimeter Walk (40259/D)

The project aim is to create a signposted walk around the perimeter of the SLINC area of the site on Billesley Common that would increase the use of the common by local people by making it accessible to a wider range of people e.g. old people from the nearby old people’s home; disabled people including those on mobility scooters; families with pushchairs and families on bikes. To improve part of the route where the current pathway is inadequate. This grant would be used to install a tarmac path on a section of the route which is at present a rough grass path. This would then create a complete circuit on hard surfaces which would enable more people to access the SLINC area of the common. It would also be able to be used as a cycle route.

The Trust grant will contribute towards creating a new pathway.
