Biodiversity in Common

This project will achieve condition on 401ha and restore 551ha in total through a combination of mechanical management, targeted grazing and shepherding, control and reduction of undesirable species and recreation of heathland habitats from rush/bracken dominated habitats. We will extend the range and opportunities for the High Brown Fritillary and Marsh Fritillary Butterflies. The project will improve habitat and species connectivity locally and within the national network and create a centre for a large scale linkage in the South Wales area.
