Biodiversity in Glasgow-1

This project will collect baseline data on birds, butterflies and the key habitats found in Glasgow’s urban greenspaces. The information generated will provide important data which can be used to help create management plans in order to promote and conserve urban biodiversity within the wide range of habitats found within the city.

Built up areas and Urban green spaces have been highlighted within Gaasgow’s LBAP as being priority habitats and are of special importance to Glasgow’s biodiversityy and the following areas are identified within the project: green spaces (including public parks), gardens, transport corridors, residential areas and derelict land.
