The overarching aim of this project is to reconnect communities to the woodland within Lochore Meadows Country Park in order to; 1. Increase access, volunteering and training opportunities for people in their local woodlands; 2. Increase connectivity between woodlands to benefit landscape and biodiversity; 3. Create new woodlands and bring existing woodland into good management and productivity. 4. Introduce positive management to 3.5 Ha of woodland 5. Cutting over (harvesting material) of two compartments each year to provide materials for hedgelaying 6. Annual planting of 1100 hazel plants as appropriate 7. One 2 day hedge-laying course per year training a minimum of 10 people 8. Increase awareness of the value of coppice woodlands for both biodiversity and products
