Biodiversity of the Urban Greenspaces in Stroud and Cainscross – Habitat

This project aims to involve communities in protecting and enhancing their local greenspaces and improving the biodiversity of the neighbourhood. The project will manage six sites in Stroud and Cainscross with very diverse habitats ranging from a pond, a willow copse, brambles and a stream to a herb-rich meadow. It will increase the habitat for kingfisher, grass snakes, slow worms and hedgehogs – all once commonplace species and now threatened.
