Birkenhead Park Community Sports Club – Additional Changing Facilities

The project involves provision of two extra changing rooms to cope with the success of the Birkenhead Park FC Community Club concept and provide secure women’s changing accomodation to enable greater involvement of women in sport at the club.
Over the last three years we have impoved the facilities at Birkenhead Park Football Club to enable the Club to develop as a Community Sports Club in an area within the top 1% of social deprivation – characterised by unemployment, poverty, ill health and social exclusion.
The additional changing rooms will allow a dedicated area for women and children who use the Activity Centre and for those who play Squash and use the Gym. This will be a key to enabling us to achieve our target of involving 200 women in sport at the club in the next two years.
