Bishop Latimer Community Garden

Further improvement of what was a piece of waste land to provide a place of relaxation/recuperation for local people as well as being an educational resource for local schools. Children, in particular, will learn about the natural world and living systems and take part in the seasonal activities of planting, growing, and harvesting fresh fruit and vegetables using organic methods. The project will bring health benefits through physical activity, reducing stress and raising awareness of healthy eating. When completed the garden will provide a green oasis, accessible to all, in an otherwise built up inner-city area.
