Bishops Knoll

This project has three main elements to enhance the visitor experience and restore valuable historic features by restoring 200m stone walls that surround and run throughout the wood which are over 100 years old.
Within the wood there are remnants of terraced lawns which are linked by sets of 3m high stone steps allowing access to the terraces which we intend to restore and open up more of the woodland for visitors.
Some of the paths have steep inclines and visitors would benefit from steps being installed to ease navigation round the wood.
