Black Grouse Viewing

New (replacement) interpretation on upland birds and the conservation work carried out at Llandegla Forest will be fitted to the outside of the black grouse bird hide which RSPB have on one of the trails, making the amenity more pleasant and complementing the annual black grouse guided walks at the site. Training and a supply of all weather clothing will allow volunteers to run the next season of walks in spring 2017, and carry out the physical maintenance on the hide and surrounding area. A directed microphone to be placed outside the hide during events will bring the black grouse calls from the distance into the hide so that people can enjoy hearing them more closely.
