Black-tailed Godwits at Newton Marsh

To protect the black-tailed godwits at this site, the project proposes to install a combination electric fence around Newton Marsh. The project will also involve installation of 1.1km of basic livestock fencing inside the perimeter combination fence, around a smaller area. This will establish an area of longer sward for cover and feeding habitat for the godwit chicks.
