Blacko Recreation Ground Playground Replacement

To replace the play equipment on the village’s recreation ground, in parts, over 40 years old. Despite a rigorous regime of inspection and maintenance, much is worn- out, with routine inspections and annual insurance examination dictating the removal of potentially dangerous items. The whole recreation ground, through grants and volunteer labour, has been upgraded, making it DDA -compliant, improving drainage, planting hedges, replacing gates and fences and repairing walls. New play equipment would be the final stage of the centre – piece of this award – winning village, creating a safe, but challenging environment for the children.
