Blagdon Play Area – Item Replacement

The Parish Council manages a play area for children between 5- 12 years and outside school hours, it is the only play facility available to them. We have struggled over the past 10 years to fund replacing ageing equipment (and safety surface) and necessarily postponed a decision on the largest unit. However unless this can now be replaced (within 3 months of completion of impeding play area inspection ) our insurance company will not cover the item. The play area will need to close for safety reasons.
We have saved £5000 towards a multi functional piece of equipment that will challenge the children physically – all our new equipment seeks to meet this goal – but we desperately seek additional funds to meet the full cost of £20,000
