BMX Highriders

The project will build a Landscaped Pump (BMX) Track alongside Calderdale’s £1m Spring Hall Athletics Track, which has hosted numerous events and festivals since opening in March 2007. The track and its surrounding estate is open to the public and already provides facilities for athletics, tennis, crown green bowling, football, multi-sports (mini-olympics), ‘wheels for all’ and weddings (Register Office). The Pump Track will be developed in parallel with a new pavilion (cafe, changing rooms, showers, toilets, space on the roof for spectators and storage for adapted bikes) and will be a fully-inclusive facility, building on a successful pilot project at a local special school.
