BMX Track

To rejuvenate an old BMX Track Prince of Wales Stadium near Pittville, Cheltenham. This will enable schoolchildren to get enjoyable exercise (as some 30% of Cheltenham schoolchildren can be classed as Clinically Obese) as well as making the site much more pleasant for the neighbours (as currently it is a wasteland with youngsters making mischief there). Lastly it will fill in a gap as the nearest existing BMX Track is 40 miles away and there is a proven need for a new BMX Track in Cheltenham.

The land is owned by the Cheltenham Borough Council, who have granted the Cheltenham & County CC a 15 year lease.

At present there are paths around the existing BMX track that are used by pedestrians and dog walkers. We will keep these and indeed improve them to retain local’s access around the track.
