BMX Track Improvements

This project focuses on essential improvements to the BMX track, specifically targeting Berm 1 (banked corner). Works include re-profiling which involves extensive earth works and resurfacing the banked corner. It is vital that riders have access to a facility that meets the required standards to host Regional Race events. Currently, the condition of Berm 1 falls short of these standards and urgently requires upgrading.

Improvement works on Berms 2 and 3 were successfully completed in January 2025. Fundraising will begin in 2026 for works to Berm 4.

The planned track improvements will further enhance the reputation of the facility, attracting more riders and competitive race events. Increased activity and visibility at the track are also expected to reduce instances of anti-social behaviour. The project will deliver broad benefits to the local community by promoting health, wellbeing, and providing young people with opportunities to engage in a positive and physically active pursuit.
