Bobbin Mill Howtown Refurbishment Project

This unique building was converted in 1935 to a village hall to serve the rural community of Martindale. This building is a vital community asset in a rural area on the southern side of Lake Ullswater. It benefits the small isolated community and receives many visitors to the area.

The project aims to strip off and refurbish the 180 year old Westmorland slate roof. The roof will be insulated at the same. The hall will be decorated and remedial works carried out to ensure continued use by the community.
