Bodies in Motion Community Kitchen, Briefield

Bodies in Motion is a social enterprise based in East Lancashire and operate one of the most deprived areas in England (top 10% areas as defined by DCLG). BIM is a Health and Fitness Hub working with, but not exclusively, the BAME community across Pendle.

Bodies in Motion have operated a pilot HAF scheme providing Holiday Activities and Food for young people on free school meals during holiday periods.

Bodies in Motion want to extend this service to wider community providing low cost meals to user groups ie seniors lunches, provide food for the cafe operated by BIM, continue to provide low cost meals to the vulnerable and run cooking and healthy eating sessions.

The current kitchen facilities are not suitable for this expansion of services and want to install a new and improved kitchen space with a kitchen that meets current environmental health standards.
