Boilton Wood Paths for All

The objective is to enhance the footpath though Boilton Wood, a beautiful ancient semi-natural woodland that forms part of the Brockholes Nature Reserve. Our aim is to open up this area to wheelchairs, pushchairs and trampers, enhance the experience of all users and prevent the creation of damaging desire lines. To achieve this, the project will remove physical restrictions, enhance narrow and eroded sections and resurface the entire path (approximately 800m). Furthermore, it will create a new 100m section of made path to connect with the existing path network. New location and interpretation signs will be installed.
