Bolingbroke Castle Routyard footpath improvement

An area of medieval landscape known as the Routyard lies immediately to the south of Bolingbroke Castle. This already has public access but it is via a worn stile within a length of temporary fencing. There is currently no signage to encourage access. A public footpath runs immediately to the south of the routyard. The project will promote and improve public access by:
– replacing the temporary fence and stile with a permanent fence and pedestrian gate.
– connecting the routyard to the public footpath network by installing a gated footbridge on its south side.
– providing waymarkers and signage.
