Bollin Valley Way, Partington - Re-vamp (5734/D)

The Trust will contribute towards gates, finger posts, waymarking, interpretation and seating. The Bollin Valley Way was created over 20 years ago and has become a very popular walking route. Recent thinking in terms of access provision to the countryside has necessitated a complete overhaul of the trail to make it available to a wider audience. The project plan is to remove all stiles, replacing them with kissing gates, resurface sections of worn footpath and renew structures such as boardwalks and bridges. We are also removing other barriers to access, namely invasive plant species which block the paths in the summer months.
