Bo’ness Mining Memorial

The project will design, construct and erect a memorial to mining showing the history of coal mining in the area from the 1960’s to modern deep mining. This will be acheived by way of a time line represented by a series of plaques mounted around a stone wall, detailing such events as the use of James Watt’s steam engine to modern deep pits. The centre piece is an original mining wheel mounted on a steel structure. The area will also include seating for visitors to the site.
