Borstal Recreation Ground, Rochester – Improvements (1904/D)

The project aims to provide footpaths, signage, seating and railings, together with markers for a ‘mile trail’ around the recreation ground, including new railings to Manor Lane to improve the general look of the site from the road; design, manufacture and installation of a new entrance sign, including a map of the site; tarmac footpaths between the entrance and the play area and a further linking path to the pavilion; two picnic tables installed onto tarmac bases, linked with the main footpath (one of these is wheelchair accessible); tree trunk table made from existing dead tree and new tree trunk seats.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the recreation ground improvements.
