Botanic Gardens Entrance

The project will provide an entrance to the Botanic Gardens at the University of Durham. Currently across to the gardens is via Hollingside Lane through Grey College. There are inadequate parking facilities and buses cannot access the car park. The new entrance will provide for access to be gained from the new Park and Ride facilities where buses will have designated drop-off points adjacent to the new entrance. The building will be constructed from materials obtained from an environmentally renewable source under a roof of recycled tiles or slates. The path infrastructure will be provided to enable disabled access and some paths will be upgraded.
