Bovey Valley Woods – Ancient Woodland and Mosaic Habitat Restoration

The main objective of this restoration project is to target difficult to access areas of the woodland, where conifer trees remain a huge threat to the long term restoration of ancient woodland and key semi-natural habitats. We will also remove scrub and holly, coppice key areas and restore riverside meadows. The work will provide a positive outcome for UK BAP species and internationally significant lichens assemblages.
