Bowling Green Maintenance and Equipment

Our project is to buy the relevant machinery and equipment to take over the maintenance of the bowling green, and the group of volunteers will take over from the council and maintain the bowling green.

This will mean we can stop charging the public for the use of bowling green that covers the maintenance fee and allow us to better maintain the green by taking ownership of the tasks. Our green used to be one of the best in Northumberland but proper maintenance no longer gets carried out.

This equipment will help us a lot to maintain the bowling green and stop us from losing our bowling green. Using the tools we could purchase will help us get the green restored to it former quality so we can host finals days, county matches and open days. We can invest in the bowling green and it will benefit the local communities a lot and help us remain the heart of the community.
