Boxted Methodist Church

Boxted Methodist Church is the oldest Methodist church in the area, founded in the 1830’s.
This project will:
Replace the current wooden flooring in the hall with a solid, wood-topped, floor. The current floor is of wooden construction with wooden supports. This is now in a very poor condition, and is close to being dangerous. The project will replace this with a solid floor topped with a wooden finish.
Correct a current rainwater drainage problem. One of the soak-aways near to the hall is not functioning properly. It will be investigated and may be replaced if necessary.
Replace the existing electric heaters. The current method of heating the hall is by ceiling mounted radiant electric heaters. These are in poor condition and need replacing.
Provide much needed storage. This will generate storage cupboards at the back of the hall, replacing the storage that was removed in the construction of the new kitchen.
