Boxted Parish Council

The children’s play area on King George Playing Field was laid out in the early 1990’s and some equipment dates from then. Some of the equipment either needs a major overhaul or replacement to bring it up to current safety requiremnets. Also there is no equipment that promotes ‘balance’ skills.
The project aims to:
Overhaul the Seesaw by replacing hire existing wooden beam with a custom built steel beam, replace bump stops etc. This option shows a saving of approximately £800 on complete replacement by new.
Replace cradle seats and chains on the infant swings.
Provide and install Twin Balance Beam, Striding Stilts, Wobble Boards
Provide improved safety surfacing at a depth of 1″ over whole of play area.
Purchase and install one new floodlight.
