Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln – New Skate Park

This project seeks to build in Skate Park in Bracebridge Heath, a village to the south of Lincoln with a population of around 5000. There are few existing facilities for young people. This project will address a growing demand from the population as a whole (not just young people) for better facilities for young adults. A poll on the parish council’s website shows 85% in favour of a skatepark. The project proposal is for a multi sport facility that will cater for a range of ages and abilities. It will provide a high quality space for skateboards, bikes, roller blades and scooters. Consultation has taken into account the different requirements of these user groups. The project will consist of the following: Creation of a tarmac base for skate park, a series of jumps, ramps, grind rails and fun boxes, a chill out mound of material excavated from foundations of the base will save removing material to landfill from the site, informal seating, signage and recycling & waste bins.
