Bracknell Centre, Kirkby – Community Growing Project (50148/D)

The project aim is to create a community-led growing project in the grounds of the Bracknell Centre where local people, volunteers and learners can come together to learn about horticulture. develop new skills, and grow their own food. There is currently a large unused portacabin in the grounds that consists of 2 classrooms and a storage space. This would be an ideal base for the project as it is self-contained, separate from the Centre with its own access. However, it needs complete refurbishment and repair. The project will also need to purchase various items of horticultural equipment. The Trust grant will contribute towards the portacabin refurbishment.
