Bradley Play Area

Bradley Residents Association have been developing a masterplan with Groundwork. LCC and Pendle BC to turn an area of derelict and neglected land adjacent to Walverden Brook into a community resource. There priority for Phase 1 is the creation of a play area for young children, adjacent to an existing MUGA, as there is currently no such provision within the local area. The play area will comprise a mixture of natural play with mounds, boulders and some more traditional play equipment such as swings. The area will also have a space for informal play such as willow tunnels or sunflower mazes; this space will also allow for the inclusion of more items of play equipment at a later date. In addition to the existing MUGA; and this children's play area the residents are intending to later include, a community garden and food growing area; a BMX pump track and a wildflower area and seating / picnic area.
