Braehead Moss is a large bog surrounded by wildlife rich habitat. Although not a SSSI the site is of high conservation interest, as it is an active bog ( an increasingly threatened habitat in Scotland ) and represents 5% of West Lothian raised bog source. The Purpose of the project is to maintain the bog habitat and to protect and enhance populations of notable species.Activities required;damming of ditches;maintaining/replanting 200m of Hedge, removal,of ragwort from 2/5ha;nvc survey;upgrading of boundary fence; Sign to increase awarness of this rare habitat
