Brailsford Road Pocket Park

The aim of this project is to:
•Create a community food growing area which will enable residents to set up a gardening group grow to fresh fruit and vegetables (including sustainable timber raised planters).
•Lay shade tolerant turf and wildflower meadow, woodland planting (fruiting shrubs and hedge row against walls)
•Semi-permeable self-binding aggregate, which will improve drainage on the site and not inhibit tree root growth.
•Install retro block paving at each entrance to improve access, with existing brick walls capped with timber battens for seating. These will create informal areas for residents to gather.
