Bramham presently has a playing field (approx seven acres), which is largely underutilised, currently containing only a children’s playground and two rough football pitches. Planning permission has been sought and granted for a multipurpose pavilion, (comprising a meeting room, changing facilities with showers, toilets and kitchen, and capable of hosting a variety of sports and leisure activities) and the redevelopment of the playing field to provide senior and junior football pitches. This is a well thought out development, designed to be flexible in order to be used for a multitude of amenities. The Council has also approved the provision of outdoor gym equipment, which will give all residents the opportunity to improve health and fitness. On completion of the pavilion, further consultation is planned with a view to building a, bowls area, skate park and / or an all-weather surface area, thus extending use of the playing field and pavilion.
