Brandy Bottom - Stabilisation Final Phase

This programme of work is the final phase of the stabilization of the remains of the new and old pits at Brandy Bottom. Work at the new pit: repairs to the flank wall; restoration of the walls and roof of the ventilation tunnel; installation of draining works and flooring in the winding slot and installation of brick capping to the walls of the horizontal engine house. Works at the old pit: installation of a stone flagged floor in and outside the Cornish Engine House; repair of the brick wall and installation of brick coping at the old boiler house; rebuilding of the south elevation staircase and replacing the missing stone facing at the south-west corner.
