Bready Cricket Club - Rainwater Harvesting Project

Bready Cricket Club is a community-focused multi-sport and social hub. The club supports a wide range of teams and provides coaching to over 140 young players. Their facility serves 18 other clubs and regularly host major cricket events. Beyond sport, the club fosters community engagement through partnerships with local organisations and a variety of health and fitness programs. The project involves the installation of a 13,000-litre Rainstore system to collect and repurpose rainwater for various club activities. Committed to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, the club aims to conserve water, lower operational costs, and set an example of sustainable practices for both its members and the broader community. By introducing a sustainable water source, the club will create a more environmentally friendly space, reducing water waste and lowering its ecological footprint. The improved green spaces—through more efficient pitch irrigation—will contribute to a more pleasant and well-maintained environment for players, spectators, and visitors.
