Brearley Park Junior Play Area

Working in partnership with Chesterfield Borough Council and the Brearley Park Friends Group a consultation was carried out to ascertain local needs of the communityin 2004. From the information gathered Groundwork Creswell has developed an overall Masterplan for the park and a business plan which has been used to phase the works in the Park as funding bids suceed. Due to cost implications it was decided to phase the project. Phase one Skate park and MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) were successfully installed in 2006/2007. Funding of the Toddler area has been secured and will commence shortly .This application is looking to complete the funding portfolio for the junior play area. We have had an expression of interest approved by Veolia and we are currently sumbitting a bid for the main funding.We have also approached Wren and Lafarge to add to the funding.The junior area is the final phase and consists of protective fencing. planting and a selection of stimulating equipment.
