The aim is to provide a visitor and education centre within Bridge End Garden, a restored Victorian garden in Saffron Walden. It will be to a Victorian inspired design while incorporating modern facilities and disabled access. The new building will comprise of three areas: 1. Visitor room containing display cabinets with information about the heritage, history, conservation, planting and artistic layout of the Garden – touch screen monitor with a wealth of information and photographs about the themed gardens. 2. Staff Room providing office facilities for the gardening staff. 3. Toilet facilities providing two modern unisex toilet rooms, including one with disabled access, to replace an existing dilapidated toilet block.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the new visitor and education centre.
