Bridge Street Community Bee Friendly Food Forest

With the help of the community, this project aims to benefit our natural environment and neighbourhood by growing a Food Forest in 25 large hexagonal raised beds. Inspired by the “Bee Healthy Project Guide” (published by TOE) we are applying for funding for three of the hexagonal planters to be dedicated to growing pollinator friendly flowers. A further large hexagonal bed will be used to host a wildlife pond. The installation of two large wooden signs, which would say “Bridge Street Garden. Everyone welcome,” placed at both garden entrances will increase footfall, general interest, and community engagement.
