Bridgehouse Gardens, South Bermondsey – Community Garden and Forest School 007913

The project aims to transform an under-utilised tarmacked public space into a food forest, growing plots and wellbeing garden. The project includes an open outdoor structure and covered space using sustainable materials and building techniques, with kitchen facilities, countertops, storage and will showcase vertical growing, a green roof and rainwater harvesting. A considered diversity of plants will increase biodiversity of the site and promote wellbeing. The school will provide a programme of events and will be run by local volunteers creating opportunities for those that live locally.
