Bridges for biodiversity at Erewash Meadows nature reserve

In order to ensure the grazing/mowing regime at Erewash Meadows is as effective as possible, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust wishes to install two bridges which will allow livestock and people to access all areas. The bridges a simple construction and will allow two of the larger ditches to be safely crossed.

The bridges will allow controlled livestock access to certain areas, together with the safe movement of mowing equipment, staff and volunteers. The grassland condition in these more inaccessible areas will improve which will be of benefit to the diverse flora and fauna which the site can support.
