Briscoe Primary School – Creation of a community open space

Briscoe Primary School is an all inclusive community school which is located in the middle of a major social residential area which is also acknowledged as being an are of mass deprivation. The school has a high proportion of vulnerable students (estimated at 80%)and a roll where over 45% are eligible fr free school meals.

Over the last several years, the school has constantly strived to play an active and positive part in community life not only for the benefit of its students, but also for parents and the wider community.

This proposal seeks to create a community open space which can be used for a variety of recreational, educational and community activities by both the school and the general community.
